Mouth in area of woodland, probably infilled. Air pit for mine located c. 50m to SSE of given coordinates (probably also blocked).

Notes: Listed as 'Auldshields Mine' at the given coordinates by BGS (possibly based on Glentore Colliery Workings mine plan docs).
Trench leading to adit visible on OS 1st Ed. (1864), & 1898 25" OS map (at given coordinates). Absent from Geological Survey map (only the shaft of Auldshiel Bridge Ironstone Pit shown).
