Level portal, site of.

Mouth to lead trial is/was situated within woodland on NE side of the Wanlock Water. Mine plan (SP1751) shows the level to be a convoluted passageway extending both SE as far as a shaft near Stake Hill [site #10215], & N (initially E through the Belton Grain Vein) to a point underlying approx. [NS 8790 1336].

Alternative Names: None recorded.

Notes: Given coordinates approx. Level mouth is/was located between the separate neighbouring crosscut [site #10200] & B797 road.

At its N end, the level passes under/over a separate Trial Level that is a branch of the extensive 160 Fathom Level crosscut (that passes through Wanlock Dod hill to the New Glencrieff Mine).
