Mine (Ironstone), abandoned 1873.
Workings contiguous with those of pits 1, 3 & 4. Shaft was driven down to Curdly Ironstone at a depth of 20 m. Shaft probably destroyed by quarry, now flooded. Operated by William Dixon Ltd.

Notes: Workings shown as 'old waste workings' (i.e. probably collapsed) on No.5 abandonment plan. Curdley Ironstone seam 4-8 inch-thick.
