Located on the south bank of seasonally dry section of the River Traligill midway between Tree Hole and Lower Traligill Cave. Entrance normally blocked by gravel & rocks low slot at foot of conspicuous steep ramp where underground stream audible. Clearing rocks, tight 5 m descent enters narrow steeply inclined bedding plane carrying large large stream. Downstream low crawl quickly blocked by rocks. Upstream 'Wok on the Wild Side', 15 m of awkward sideways thrutching reaches low arch into roomier section of streamway. To right crawl over shingle bank enters small chamber containing pool. Ahead 10 m of easy going reaches active terminal choke with low dry oxbow to left. Upstream choke lies 40 m distant from terminal point in Lower Traligill Flood Sink, while downstream point lies 45 m from Tree Hole.

Warning - The River Traligill responds rapidly to rainfall with flood pulses filling the streambed and the adjacent caves. This cave can flood to roof with catastrophic speed.
[Previous references to the Allt a' Bhealaich appear to have been based on an incorrectly annotated survey. The dry valley of the Allt a' Bhealaich joins the River Taligill further upstream.]
