Obliterated mine shaft, depicted as 'Old Shaft' along SW verge of tramway on 1899 OS map. Formerly sunk to the New Glencrieff Mine's Glenglass Adit which has collapsed at this locality. The 'new' adit mouth is located ca. 40m SE of this point [see registry site #10078].
