Mine shaft to West Glencrieff Pit (part of New Glencrieff Mine). Site now buried below disturbed ground on W side of track.

Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Probably connected with the inclined Winding Shaft, the top of which was ca. 20m to the SW (in line with the ruined building that comprised the Captain's & Engine House [NS 86425 13285]).
Labelled as 'Pump Shaft' on Mine Plan SP1860. A separate pump shaft was located further downhill to the NE (see site #4380).
