Aqueduct tunnel, 18th c.
The extensive Mennockhass tunnel supplied mining activities and ore processing in Wanlockhead with water sourced from the Stake Moss Reservoir to the SE. The tunnel crosscut levels of the Margarets Mine [site #10131] & had its stone-lined outfall beside the Wanlock Water at the given coordinates (opposite the Museum of Lead Mining).
