Adit, blocked.
Portal led into the 'High Level' of the Straitsteps Mine, driven into the hill of Wanlock Dod for ca. 550m, parallel to the other Straitsteps levels. The High Level was connected to the Mathew Wilson & Adit Levels by a blind shaft, the Adit Level being connected to the capped (Black) Engine Shaft [site #1370].
