Shaft, blocked.

Site of shaft located on bank of Wanlock Water, sunk to the Adit Level that connects the Margarets & Strainsteps lead mine workings. A ca. 120m-long NE-trending crosscut tunnel to the Lochnell Vein (passing under the Williamson Level of the Lochnell Mine) diverges from the Adit Level at this point.

Notes: Name & location shown on Mine Plan SP1771. Given coordinates approx., based on re-scaling of mine plans over OS map. Not to be confused with a shaft of the same name on the Cove Vein at Whytes Cleugh [site #10110].
