Mine shaft & adit, early- or mid-18th c.
Shaft probably sunk in the lead-rich Old Glencreiff Vein. A portal to the 'Middle Drift' was also located just E of the shaft. Spoil tips are present around at this locality, E of the more obvious fenced-off additional shaft [site #10096].
